On 6 May a group of Friends of Te Whare Rehua Sarjeant Gallery in Whanganui visited Pātaka briefly to hear about and view current exhibitions.
Iwi Host Te Aurere Coker spoke about the Ngāti Toa Rangatira exhibition Mutumutu ki Mukukai. Curators Ioana Gordon-Smith and Jacki Leota-Mua spoke about the main exhibitions before they had quick walk through.
Friends’ committee members were there to welcome fellow Friends and speak briefly about the focus of our activities in support of Pātaka, following up with further information for Sarjeant Friends. A great opportunity to make a connection with another gallery.
